Your In house tooling shop

Many of our customers use us as their in house “Tooling shop” with their own production engineers fitting and changing tools on the factory floor. The costs and headaches of running in-house tooling design and

engineering are simply not worth even thinking about when we have the knowledge, experience and expertise to do the job for them.

Solving your tooling related manufacturing issues.

Solving problems is about finding the cause of the problem not just trying to fix the symptom. That takes experience and tenacity and often a fresh pair of eyes that can look at the issue without all of its history. We are happy to come out and work to solve a problem with you.

A well-bent tube should need little or no additional polishing before it goes to the finishing process. If it does, this extra step is often one of the most manual and costly steps.

The quality of the bend is almost entirely down to the quality of the wiper dies and formers. So what makes good die and formers?

• A clear technical understanding of the material to be bent
• The choice of materials for the tools
• The correct dimensions for the tooling relative to the material to be bent.
• The experience and knowledge of how to engineer the tools in the chosen material to the exact specifications.

This last point is our point of difference; it is what we do day in day out. Toolmaking to the standard that our customers’ demand requires this quality of engineering.

We design and manufacture Robotic fixtures for welding and assembly. They are designed to fit into your production process or Robot cell.

The advantages of automation are well known and immense. Robotic fixtures provide consistency and accuracy hour after hour. To achieve this it is critical that we design the fixtures for maximum efficiency. Experience and ingenuity are both needed to visualise how to achieve this.

Although robotic fixtures can seem expensive initially the return of your investment should be swift and after that the savings just keep growing.

Reverse engineering is also an opportunity to revisit the imperfections of the existing product and to remove them from the replication. It is worth considering new materials that have become available since the original design that may improve performance.
